Andrew & Nicole // Grovedale Winery, Wyalusing, PA // Wedding & Engagement Photographer

Nicole & Andrew’s spring engagement session at Grovedale Winery in Wyalusing, PA is definitely going to go down as a favorite! I loved it for so many reasons, but you’ll have to agree with me that Grovedale is a simply gorgeous place to take photos! The property is gorgeous and sprawling and so well maintained, I have never been there before, but I can honestly say that it is a new favorite! I am beyond excited for Nicole & Andrew’s wedding there this fall – it is going to be incredible!

Nicole & Andrew met, like so many couples do today, online. They told me that some of their family is still in denial that such a perfect match was made online of all places – and I couldn’t agree more. I have never met a couple so perfectly in tune with each other, so in love, and so comfortably at ease – both with each other & in front of the camera! They should be models, seriously!

Typically, I try to meet with potential KAP Couples over a cup of coffee to chat and make sure we’d be a perfect fit before booking their wedding, but I didn’t have that opportunity with Nicole & Andrew before their engagement session last week! We chatted over the phone, so I knew that I loved Nicole’s sense of humor and bubbly personality, and from how she described their wedding plans to me, I knew it was going to be right up my alley (they’re having a s’mores bar around a bonfire – yes please!!) So, I was beyond excited to meet in person and realize just how perfect they are!

No matter what, there is always a “warming up” period when I put a couple in front of my camera – they need to get comfortable with me, my “big black box” & how I operate (that’s why I believe engagement sessions are so important!) But I have never met a couple (especially for the very first time) who were ready to go straight out of the gate! From the first image I took, I literally could not take a bad shot! Nicole & Andrew were so comfortable, so laid back, and so excited – I literally had a blast! See for yourself!

Every time they’d look at each other, they’d laugh! Heartily! Without prompting! They were simply overflowing with pure joy! And then, spurred by that laughter, Nicole’s foot would pop! Foot popping is a sign of pure happiness and when it happens within the first 5 minutes, well, let’s just say, I knew this was going to be an incredible engagement session!

I can’t wait for this fall when these grapevines are full & dripping with grapes! Did I mention that they couldn’t stop laughing with each other? Because, they couldn’t & it made my heart so happy!

You’d never guess & probably never believe it, but it was actually raining while we took these photos around the fire pit! What, you can’t tell from their upset, downcast faces? Me neither!

After a few raindrops, the sun appeared & we had glorious golden sunlight for pretty much the rest of the evening – I couldn’t have asked for anything better!
