2020 Favorites – Weddings

Are you ready? This is traditionally my largest blog post of the whole entire year!

Here we go! Last but not least – my favorite wedding images from 2020.
(This is crazy, I did my best to cut back on the number of images I’m posting, but it’s just so hard! So, I gave up & here I am, posting a blog post with 300+ images – my blog server is probably going to call me & bite my head off – YIKES!)

As a recap: we all know what 2020 was (a dumpster fire) – but that did not stop these couples from getting married! Every single wedding I photographed was impacted by the pandemic in some way – whether guest lists had to be cut, locations had to be changed (some in the most dramatic sense possible), dates were changed, vendors had to be re-booked – couples had to change their ideas & plans & dreams to fit into the new (and ever changing) regulations.

And you know what? They all did it – it was hard & stressful & I’m sure plenty of tears were shed – but THEY DID IT. Indoor ceremonies became outdoor ones, masks were worn, cookie tables were shifted, tables were “socially distanced” – every single bride & groom who got married in 2020 deserves all the praise, because wedding planning under “normal” circumstances is tough, but wedding planning under “pandemic” circumstances is near impossible.

I am SO PROUD of my 2020 couples (and my 2020 couples who are now 2021 couples – those who made the impossible decision to postpone their big day a full year or more into the future – that struggle does not go unseen!! Your wedding day IS COMING & it is going to be SO worth the wait!!)

I think that’s probably why I struggled so much in paring down my favorites this year – because I know the stories, the struggles, the stress, and the triumph that every single one of these couples went thru in making it to their wedding day! And that just makes all of these photos so much more special – which is why I eventually just gave up & decided to post them all.
(In other words, if you actually look at every single photo in this post – you deserve a gold star!)

So, here we go! These are my favorite wedding images from 2020 (in absolutely no particular order – seriously, I put all of my favorite images into a “randomizer” and this is the order it spit everything out in – how could I ever put 300+ images in any sort of order?)
