Meet my little sister, Emma.
I’ve featured sister number 1: Ellen, sister number 2: Amy, and this is sister number 3: Emma! [if you didn’t know, I’m the oldest of 6 kids]
Emma is simply fabulous. I promise, I’m not just saying that because she’s my sister! If you’ve ever met her, you know that that statement is 100% true.
Every bone in her body is creative – she loves to sew, create, & repurpose clothing, she has an incredible eye for stylizing things [clothing, gallery walls, furniture layouts], she can draw & sketch like nobody’s business, and never challenge her to paint you anything because she will blow your mind with what she comes up with [so, maybe you should challenge her!]. One of these days, we’re going to go shopping together, and I’m going to have her pick out a few outfits for me & I’m just going to buy them with no questions asked.
Don’t you wish you had sisters like mine? Yeah, I have the best sisters around.
One of the amazing perks of having a big sister who is a photographer, is we can do impromptu photo-sessions whenever we feel like it! Emma is completing her senior year of high school and she wanted some senior photos taken at our lake house on Deep Creek Lake in Maryland. So, one of the last weekends we were there last fall, we did a little mini-shoot! The lake house means a lot to all of us since it’s been in our family for 4 generations [Braelynn makes it 5!] so the property holds a lot of memories! We simply couldn’t pass up the gorgeous warm fall evening we had!
Of course, Emma has more senior photos to come [we’d love to do a session in the snow, as well as a spring session!], but this is a little taste of the beginning!
