Weekend Write-Up // Version 3.14.16

This past weekend, we had a wonderful visit from Derrick’s brother & his wife & their littles! If you’ve followed my blog for any length of time, you’ve seen my niece & nephew before – I kind of take their photos a lot. It was at their parent’s wedding that Derrick & I actually met! (speaking of: anyone interested in Derrick & I’s story? how we met, what our dating relationship looked like, how we fell in love? let me know!)

They came in Friday night & we were able to visit and catch-up that evening & most of the day on Saturday! Best high-school besties, Naomi & I had a lot to catch up on: jobs, houses, kids, friends, school, the works! It was so delightful to sit on the couch and chat and watch our kiddos play together as cousins (something we never dreamed would happen when we were 13 years old!)

We ran races in the backyard, blew bubbles, ate pancakes, took selfies, cleaned up toys about 37 times, and had the most fabulous time!
