It was Thanksgiving.
Amy & Joe were at his family’s house to celebrate the holiday – surrounded by good food and family, they couldn’t help but be thankful. Thankful for life, friendship, and the love they had found with each other.

Someone began teasing the couple: “When are y’all going to tie the knot?” I can only imagine others chiming in: “Yeah! When are we going to have a wedding, Joe?”
Unknown to everyone, Joe was already on top of things. The ring was in his pocket and he had planned to propose to Amy at the end of dinner. But as the prodding continued, he stood up from his place at the table, reached into his pocket for the ring, turned to Amy, and asked her to marry him.

I can just imagine the look on everyone’s faces! Seriously? A proposal in the middle of Thanksgiving dinner?
After a short stunned moment of silence, Amy said: “Yes!” and well, we can fill in the rest of the blanks!

Amy & Joe made it official last Saturday! It was a perfect, sunshine-filled, summer day.
The ceremony was held at the Assembly of God Church in Towanda, Pennsylvania, but the reception was at the brand new Shoresbrook Inn. And when I say “brand new” – it truly is a brand new venue! Amy & Joe are only the 2nd couple to ever celebrate a wedding there! It was absolutely beautiful – completely renovated and updated, but the owners were still able to keep that rustic, country feel. I loved being there & look forward to going back in September for another wedding!
