Busch Gardens Williamsburg | The Adventuring Abbeys Vlog

When we plan trips and travel to amusement parks, we have to simply roll with whatever we’re dealt in terms of weather. Most of the time, it’s summer and it’s fine – but sometimes, we get handed a SUPER rainy day – which is precisely what happened to us on our first day (of a week-long stay) at Busch Gardens Williamsburg this year.

The weather turned out to be so abysmal, that the park ended up closing early.

We did the best we could though! We snagged rides on Pantheon and Apollo’s Chariot before the rain really set in and rode a bunch of the flat rides that were under cover.

We ate delicious food and watched the main shows (Oktoberzest in Das Festaus and Celtic Fyre in Ireland) and looked forward to the end of our week when we could get back to Busch Gardens!

At the time we visited (the first week of May), Busch Gardens Williamsburg was still not open daily yet, so we visited on Sunday (the rainy day), for a few hours on Thursday evening (they had a late opening), and then all day on Friday (which turned out to be a GORGEOUS day!)

Sadly, we missed DarKoaster’s passholder preview weekend by one week – guess that means we’ll have to make another trip down to Busch Gardens Williamsburg later this summer!
