Featured! Love & Lavender

I am so excited to announce that Adam & Mandy’s fall wedding at Succop Nature Park in Butler, PA has been featured on Love & Lavender today!

I’ll never forget FaceTiming with Adam & Mandy (they live in Arizona) to talk about their wedding day. One of my favorite things about photographing weddings is meeting a couple & hearing their story: how they met, how they fell in love, and how the big question was officially popped.

So, as we chatted away (face-to-face, but literally 2,000 miles apart – technology is just wonderful!) and I asked about how they met. They told me stories of their year at Grove City College together – Mandy was a senior when Adam started as a freshman & they met thru a mutual music class. They very quickly became best friends and their year at college in Western Pennsylvania yielded some of the most precious memories.

So, then I asked about how Adam proposed, they just smiled at each other & at me and said, “Well, an “official” proposal hasn’t exactly happened yet.” Because of logistics and schooling and a whole host of other reasons, they had moved forward into wedding planning “mode”, before Adam had officially popped the question. He was still planning on proposing! All the pieces just hadn’t fallen into place yet.

We all laughed at how crazy it was to plan a wedding without an engagement ring, but one thing was overwhelmingly obvious: Adam & Mandy were soulmates – and no matter what order they went about things – these two were meant to be together & live out the rest of their days as each other’s best friends.
(Shortly after our conversation, Adam did “officially” propose!)
