Zeb’s proposal to Emilie has been published on How He Asked by The Knot!

I may be a bit biased, but their wedding is probably the one I’m looking forward to with the most anticipation this summer. I’m allowed to feel that way though because I’ve literally known Zeb since the day he was born. He was my first cousin on my Dad’s side & firstborn of my favorite Aunt & Uncle.

I’ll never forget the night Zeb told us that he was going to propose to Emilie. It was the evening of Braelynn’s 2nd birthday party. Everyone was beginning to leave but Zeb made excuses to hang around. He’s the oldest of 8 kids, and he wanted to keep his proposal plans a secret from his younger siblings. They all adore Zeb, by the way, evidenced by each & every one of them asking him if they could ride home with him. The ride home might have only been 5 minutes, but riding along with the big brother was so much more exciting than riding with Mom & Dad.

He excused every one of their requests though and as soon as he was sure they were gone, he laid out his plans. He was envisioning snow, a cold walk, and the diamond ring. He was jittery with excitement, wondering how he was going to make it thru the next 48 hours until he proposed!

I’m so proud of my cousin and couldn’t be happier to welcome his lovely bride-to-be into our family! I might be counting down the days until their wedding just like they are!
