5 Things you should know about this photo:
1. I am at my in-law’s house all week in upstate Pennsylvania. I’ve been itching to enter another I Heart Faces photo challenge though, so when this month’s theme was published of “Hard at Work” – I knew I wanted to put something together!
2. It might look like it, but I promise, there’s nothing cooking on the stove! I wouldn’t dare have something hot cooking right above my baby’s head! So, everyone who took one look at this photo & gasped – don’t worry!
3. This is a composite image! Meaning, it’s 2 images merged together into one! I took the image with me standing in it with the self-timer on my camera [and the help of a chair] and then came back & got Braelynn to smile & look at me. Then into Photoshop it went & with a little bit of magic – we have one image!
4. I haven’t really cooked in such a long time! When I was pregnant with Braelynn, I was so so sick. Derrick took over the cooking because otherwise, we would have been eating saltines & toast every night! Then, we moved, and are still in the process of moving! In this middle season of being between houses, we’re living with our parents [a few months with Derrick’s parents and almost a year with mine] and I hate to say it, but I’ve thoroughly enjoyed not being responsible for dinner every night while I figure this photographer/Mama thing out! Our Mom’s are the best EVER!
5. Looking at this picture really makes me want to clean my in-law’s stove. I think tomorrow while they’re at the Grandparent’s Day event at my niece’s day-care, I’ll wash it down for them *shhhh*
