Kyle & Joe // Ithaca, NY // Wedding & Engagement Photographer

This spring engagement session has truly kicked off photography season for me! And it was literally the best – I could not have asked for a better couple, a better location, or better weather!! Kyle & Joe are literally the silliest, smiliest, happiest, laughiest (okay, that’s not really a word, I made that up), most adorable couple ever! If Kyle ever goes a day without laughing for the rest of her life, it’s because Joe was away that day – because I think it would literally be impossible!

Joe & Kyle met in Boston, Joe’s hometown. After high school, Kyle picked a college in Boston to attend, so she packed her bags and moved up north! At the time, the economy was booming, so she was told: “Just get a bachelor’s degree – it doesn’t matter in what! Just get any old degree & you’ll be set!” So, she figured she’d go to school for something fun, you’ll never guess what: photography! Deep down, I think Kyle & I are kindred spirits.

While she was in school, she got a job at a bar to make some extra cash. She met a lot of people there, but one fellow co-worker in particular stuck out. This guy named Joe who was the bar’s go-to DJ & Karaoke guy. Kyle couldn’t help but notice him – his dimples, his friendly charm, and how he made her laugh.

Did I mention that I had the most fun with them? They took me to this gorgeous waterfall in Ithaca, New York, that I had never been to before & we simply had a blast tromping around & goofing off. Their wedding day is going to be amazing & I’m already counting down the days!

They brought their adorable & energetic pup along for the ride as well! He was so good – and those ears!! I wish Abby’s ears stood up on end like that!

Did I mention that we goofed off a bit? We did & it was so much fun!

Henry was so much fun – Joe brought along this toy & let him off his leash to play – this dog can JUMP!!

Kyle & Joe were such troopers – it was a gorgeous day, but it’s just May – the water isn’t exactly warm yet! They told me they were up for anything though – so into the water they went! I couldn’t be more thrilled with the results!
