This past Sunday proved that forecasters can only “predict” the weather and not actually foresee it.
Because, it was supposed to rain on Sunday.
In fact, all of our weather apps were predicting thunderstorms and rain pretty much all afternoon.
But I honestly believe that the intense love between Jenna and Tyler, the love of their family members, and the joy of their closest friends created a literal bubble over Robin Hill Center in Coraopolis, PA and we were awarded a perfectly beautiful (at times the sun even sneaked through) day of celebration for Jenna and Tyler.
But like any good love story – Jenna and Tyler’s “Chapter One” did not begin on Sunday.
It started in 2020.
Talk about a rough year for relationships! But, when it’s meant to be, not even a pandemic, 6-feet of separation, and online classes can stop two soul-mates from finding one another.
That might sound cliche, but that’s precisely how Jenna and Tyler met: in an online Zoom college class right smack in the middle of 2020-pandemic-crazy-world.
And no amount of 6-feet of separation guidance could keep these two apart.
Fast forward to restrictions being lifted, meeting each other’s families, countless hours of talking and relationship-building later, and the spring of 2024 took Jenna and Tyler to Japan.
When I initially talked to Jenna, she laughed that her and Tyler’s story was “boring” and “not very exciting”, but then she told me how she and Tyler went to Japan last year and Tyler proposed at the top of a mountain.
And I literally broke out in goose-bumps and re-assured her that their story is epic (and only getting better).
So, on Sunday afternoon, surrounded by their closest and best friends and family, Jenna and Tyler officially pledged their lives to each other and promised to continue adventuring together for the rest of their lives.
