Digital Negatives // Wedding Photography Products

A few months back I wrote about digital negatives and how they are the core of my business. When Derrick & I got married almost 4 years ago [holy smokes, where does the time go?] the main thing I wanted from my wedding photographer was the digital negatives. Thus, when I began building my business, it made sense to offer my clients exactly what I wanted.

When I got married, I wanted a photographer who responded quickly to my questions, who truly took an interest in my wedding & my story, and who included a disk of photos along with her time on my wedding day. I have built most of my business off of my relationship with Kristen – it was my first & only interaction with a wedding photographer while wearing the shoes of a bride & it was fabulous.

Last year I delivered the digital negatives to my brides & grooms on custom DVDs – but this year I’m upgrading. New computers are simply not including the disk drives in them anymore, so I have swapped out the custom DVDs with custom USB drives!

I don’t want to simply hand you a USB drive though – I can only imagine it getting tossed in a “junk” drawer & lost! At least that’s what I feel like would happen with me! So, the company that I get the USB drives from has a fabulous solution: a wooden box – totally customized to hold the USB drive so it has a home & won’t get lost!

I am utterly in love with this new product & I believe my brides & grooms this year will really love it too!
