Big families make my heart happy.
Lots of little kids – the noise, the energy level, the mini-arguments, the split-seconds of love – it makes me feel right at home.
Or, maybe it’s because I’m cooking my own little bun in the oven & it’s making me all nostalgic of being big sister to 5 younger siblings.
Either way – big families make my heart happy. And this big family in particular! I love “growing up” with a family – with gaps of time in between seeing each other it never fails that everyone will have grown about a foot and re-introductions need made. Suddenly, little ones who were just little babes are now full blown little people with conversations to be had, opinions to be heard, and little attitudes to show off. Some are more friendly and welcoming of having their pictures taken, others have decided that the slide is much more fun and like lightning they’ve disappeared.
Oh happy heart.
And when you get one good photo of all 5 siblings together – well – that is cause for hotdogs & bubblegum! [that’s a personal joke, it’s okay if you don’t understand].
It’s getting more and more difficult to remember that these two sisters are actually twins! Every year they seem to grow more and more individual & less and less like each other.
Sometimes, they do love each other though.
Of course, we had to take a few photos of the happy Mom & Dad – they love their little big family so so much!
