2017 Favorites – Engagements

This week, I will be breaking my Tuesday/Thursday/Saturday posting routine to highlight my favorite images from 2017! I’ve broken my favorite images down into four categories: roller coasters, portraits, engagements, and weddings. 2017 was the most amazing year & I have the images to prove it!!

I know I’ve said this before and I know I’ll say it again in the future, but engagement sessions are my favorite. Don’t get me wrong, I love wedding days! But I think part of the reason I love wedding days, is because I’ve already spent several hours with the couple: hanging out over coffee & shooting their engagement session. That being said, did I mention that I LOVE engagement sessions? I love having that time with a couple to really get to know them. And wedding days are so much more wonderful with that friendship foundation firmly laid!

2017 was a unique year for engagement sessions in that I kicked off the year on January 1, 2017, with Adam & Jess’s engagement photos, and ended the year on December 31, 2017, with Adam & Mandy’s engagement photos! Both were in the snow – but the latter was SO much colder than the former! I’ve never shot in single-digit temperatures before! I think I love their photos so much more knowing how brave they were (I’ll be blogging those images soon)!

So, here we go! These are my favorite engagement images from 2017 (in absolutely no particular order).
(Some of these images are “never before seen” – I promise to get caught up by blogging all of my fall sessions in the coming weeks and months! This happens every year: I simply shoot faster than I can blog. And that’s okay! It just gives me plenty of pretty pictures to fill my blog over these next cold winter months! So, stay tuned!)
